Connect a bank account
Clearco requires users to connect their bank accounts through Plaid to be eligible for funding. This requirement results in the most accurate funding offers and pricing for our customers. To learn more about the benefits of Plaid, visit their website here.

How do I connect a bank account to Plaid?

Access the bank accounts page here

Click Add Bank Account as shown below:

Select or search for your Banking Institution as shown below:

Provide your Bank Account’s Routing Number:

Proceed through the Plaid requests to finalize the connection of your Bank Account
How do I find my bank institution?
- Navigate to Business profile.
- Click Bank accounts.
- Click on your bank or begin typing within the search field to populate your bank institution.

Which bank accounts should be connected?
It is recommended that all bank accounts associated with your business are connected. This will help ensure you receive the most accurate offers and pricing.
My connected bank account is now Not Connected and requires Reauthorization. What does this mean?
When a Plaid-connected bank connection becomes disconnected, it is usually the result of 1 of 2 things:
- The banking institution has updated security protocols or;
- The username and/or password to access online banking has been changed.
How do I reauthorize an account that is Not Connected?

Click Reauthorize connection on the row with the account that is Not Connected

This will open up the Plaid experience, where you’ll need to log in to your bank.

- Finally, you will be asked to select the accounts for authorization. Please select all accounts you want connected including the bank accounts that are currently selected.
If my bank is not supported by Plaid, how do I connect my bank account?
Our system will automatically recognize if your bank is not supported by Plaid.
When this is the case, you will be required to manually provide bank account information and a void check (to verify routing number), as shown below:
Once you have completed the above, you will be required to upload the most recent 6 months of bank statements for the added account:
Note: For eligibility, any future applications will require you to provide the most recent 6 months of bank statements.
How to sign an ACH
Once you have successfully connected a bank account, the next step is to finalize the connection by signing an ACH agreement. This is an agreement for Clearco to debit the connected bank account through ACH payments. The authorized signatory will be the user who can sign this agreement.
You will see a pop-up that will prompt you to sign the ACH, as shown below:
Click the Sign ACH button to be directed to the agreement for signing.
An email with the agreement will also be sent to the authorized signatory, as an alternative to clicking the Sign ACH button.
