Clearco's Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
Clearco’s Multi-Year Accessibility Plan for Clearco: 2023 - 2026
Introduction
This Multi-Year Accessibility Plan has been developed to align with the principles of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, as amended ("AODA"). As an Ontario-based company, Clearco is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment for all our employees and customers. This plan will be reviewed and updated at least once every five years, or as required by law.
Statement of Commitment
Clearco is committed to upholding the dignity and independence of all individuals, including those with disabilities. We are dedicated to the principles of non-discrimination, accommodation, and inclusion within the province of Ontario.
General Requirements
Clearco has implemented an Accessibility Policy, accessible to all employees and customers upon request, ensuring the fair treatment of individuals with disabilities. Human Resource representatives are available to assist employees, and similar support will be provided for customers if needed.
Clearco will file an accessibility report every three years with the Ontario government or as required by law.
Training
Clearco provides training on accessibility laws and relevant codes, tailored to the roles of employees and representatives within the province of Ontario. This includes education on the AODA, the Ontario Human Rights Code, accessible customer service, and any other applicable accessibility requirements.
Customer Service
Clearco is committed to serving all customers with excellence, including those with disabilities. A customer service policy has been implemented, addressing communication with individuals with disabilities, serving customers using assistive devices, welcoming those with service animals or support persons, and providing notice of service disruptions in Ontario-based facilities.
Training in compliance with the AODA has been conducted, and a feedback process is in place to address customer concerns. Clearco has a service disruption protocol, detailing steps to be taken in the event of a temporary disruption to facilities or services used by individuals with disabilities within the province of Ontario.
Information and Communications
Clearco aims to meet the communication needs of individuals with disabilities within the province of Ontario. Information about accessibility and accessible communications is provided at entry points for visitors to Ontario facilities. Clearco welcomes customer feedback and, upon request, provides information in accessible formats. Communication supports are provided promptly, with no cost incurred by the individual.
Emergency information for employees is accessible upon request. Clearco will have information at security and reception desks available for visitors, indicating the availability of assistance during emergencies or the provision of accessible formats for communication. Accessible documents or communication supports for meetings are provided within ten business days upon request.
For customers, Clearco prioritizes accessibility in the design of its public website and web content, conforming to established guidelines such as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
Employment
Clearco upholds fair and accessible employment practices, accommodating individuals with disabilities during recruitment, assessment, and hiring processes. Recruitment postings include information about accommodation availability, and successful applicants are notified of accommodation policies. Written offers of employment include accommodation language.
Clearco consults with employees to determine required accessible formats or communication supports. Accommodation plans are created collaboratively, including a return-to-work process and emergency response plan where necessary. Periodic reviews of accommodation plans consider changes in disability, accommodation needs, or job roles.
Design of Public Spaces
Clearco is committed to meeting accessibility standards for the design of public office spaces under the AODA within the province of Ontario. Any new construction or renovations will comply with these standards. Prevention and maintenance plans for accessible elements within a space we control would be in place.
